Open Gym will be cancelled on Sat. April 19 from 12:30 - 3:00 PM for Grading Tests.

- Grading Tests -

Fri. April 18th @ 4:30 PM -- Kids' Level 2 Testing.
Sat. April 19th @ 12:30 PM -- Teen/Adult Level 2 Testing.
Sat. April 19th @ 2:30 PM -- Level 3 All Ages Testing

Expected duration: 2 hours


Please note that on the 18th, kids' classes will run concurrently with testing. You will not be able to attend both class and the testing that day.

Effective immediately, the **SINGLE Drop-in option** for kids' classes will be discontinued until further notice.

Recently, attendance has been too high!! In the interest of maintaining quality coaching, we need to keep class sizes smaller. Kids and parents are welcome to watch classes if they are interested, but we will no longer be offering free or paid single-session drop-in kids classes. If you sign up for classes, you can still start anytime! There is no semester/term system for classes.

"ORIGINS" is Vancouver's first and only facility dedicated to parkour training. We are centrally located on Main and 10th, just a block away from major bus stops.

This gym was designed and built by the same people that use it -- that means that all 10,000 square feet of the facility is full of structures and equipment that are specialized and of the highest quality. In addition to parkour, we also feature programs for tricking, gymnastics, and strength and conditioning.

Adult (13+) classes are 90 mins. Kids (5-12) classes are 75 mins.

Parkour

These adult (13+) parkour classes focus on teaching the student skills to navigate and manipulate their environment. Not only will you learn special vaults, dismounts, climbs, and rolls, but you will also learn how to run, jump, and simply move BETTER! All of these abilities combined will get you stronger, more fit, and capable of executing flowing lines over any obstacles. Parkour is a fun and playful sport, so classes are very casual and relaxed. Open up your imagination and see opportunities for movement everywhere!

Level 1: Beginner

This is a beginner, adult (13+) parkour class focused on physical preparation. Lessons include a combination of gymnastics, calisthenics, and special exercises that will help with any athletic endeavours. The program develops the necessary strength, coordination, power, and mobility to learn parkour skills.

Tricking

This acrobatic style mixes flipping, twisting, and martial arts kicks, all while promoting self exploration through movement. You will build a strong foundation in balance and flexibility with kicking drills and gymnastic skills. You will also develop special air awareness, so that you are more comfortable spinning and going inverted while airborne. Come test yourself physically and mentally, and have a blast while challenging yourself!

Flow

Are you injured? Clumsy? Powerful beyond your control? Or just want to move with more finesse? This class is for you! Flow classes focus on the lighter side (literally) of parkour. We promote low impact movement and smooth transitions using challenging drills and fun games. This class also involves an extensive warm up and cool down to help you recover from intense training bouts. Stop trying so hard and go with the flow! :)

Freestyle (Begins Feb. 20)

Once you have a good grasp of the fundamentals of parkour it can be both fun and challenging to learn some tricks to throw together with them. Freestyle classes will be happening every Thursday from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This class is available for all level 2+ students. Every month, we will be featuring new moves to learn and master.
You must register ahead of time every week.
$20 per class. Free for students with unlimited membership.

Open Gym

Open Gym grants total access to all 10,000 sf of our facility! These times are for unsupervised, non-instructional, independent training and play time! Flip into the foam pit, hit the weight room, dominate the Fray, or let loose on the spring floor!

If it's your first time visiting, please notify the front desk so they can take you on a quick 5-minute safety tour and orientation.

Toddler Tuesdays (Begins Feb. 18th)

   Got a little monkey who is too young to be in any of our classes???
   Bring them to a special parent-and-tot Open Gym!
   Drop in is just $7.50 per child! Parents get in for free!
